Details: David Allanson Jones was a storekeeper and postmaster who settled in the small West Gwillimbury community of Clarksville during the 1860's. Across Europe and North America, David A. Jones became known as the Bee King of the Nineteenth Century. In 1875, Clarksville was renamed Bee Town in his honour. Eventually the spelling was changed to the short British form, Beeton.
The quaint Victorian Main Street will be lined with over 170 vendors selling items for the home, garden and you! Snap up that perfect vintage table at our Antique Alley, purchase an Alpaca sweater at our International Bazaar, or a one-of-a-kind piece of art at the SSAC Artist & Artisan Marketplace. Visit the Cathy's Crawly Composters booth and find out what's new with the worms and sprouters.

Event: Hello Spring! Garden Tour & Afternoon Tea

Details: NeighbourLink North York with the support of residents in the community and the North York Garden Club have come together to celebrate spring and NeighbourLink North York’s 25 years of serving the community. Enjoy a spectacular showcase of 10 unique private and community gardens on a self-guided tour in Willowdale. Ticket-holders will start their tour at one of our designated Garden Tour Hubs. End your tour at the Parkview Community Gardens and adjoining John Mackenzie House for 3 afternoons tea scheduled between 12-3:30 pm. There will be live music, workshops and family-friendly activities will be hosted throughout the day. Self guided garden tours and geo caching begin at 10 am- 3pm.
